DeVale Denied Jury Trial
Though he called UCLA "a rat's nest," Judge Irving Shimer
granted UC's motion for summary judgment in Sue Carole DeVale's
discrimination suit (she was denied tenure). His decision is a first
for UC women and will be appealed. You can support DeVale by urging
the American Association of University Professors to give financial
