SEX DISCRIMINATION: NEW BOOK

Blackwell Publishing announces that a new edited volume, Sex Discrimination in the Workplace, is scheduled for publication in April. The table of contents lists a section on "What Employers and Employees Should Know about Sex Discrimination" that includes chapters on "Avoiding Sex Discrimination Litigation and Defending Sex Discrimination Suits" and "When an Individual Finds Herself to be the Victim of Sex Discrimination." Colleen Crangle (whose case against Stanford settled in 2001) has contributed "Gender Equity at Stanford University: A Story Behind the Statistics." The final chapter by Linda Krieger (of the UCB Law School) is entitled "The Watched Variable Improves: On Eliminating Sex Discrimination in Employment." We agree. Watch those variables.
