WAGE co-founder Charity Hirsch to resign as chair
With the help of several active WAGE members whose judgment I respect, I decided the time has come for me to resign as chair of WAGE. I announced my intention to resign at the spring meeting of the Governing Council, held April 19 in Oakland.
As this issue of the Newsletter is being written, we are putting together a planning workshop for the Governing Council to identify a new chair and establish WAGE's priorities for the coming year. I will continue to assist plaintiffs, work on the Newsletter, and coordinate letters from WAGE to legislators and UC officials.
